The Director of Patient Care leads a clinical service in a dynamic process of adaptation to service goals, changes in health care systems and response to customer demandsFosters autonomy, accountability and professional/personal growth and development of staffThe essential characteristics necessary to meet standards and role expectations include:
professionalism, humor, vision, trust, innovation, resourcefulness, collaboration, critical thinkingThe Director is a person of influence who breaks down barriersIs responsible for knowledge of the patient population served and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethicsAssures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.Responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other interdisciplinary team membersAssures that all professional nurses and LPNs practice within their specific scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Regulatory standardsIs aware of and assures that all unlicensed personnel practice within the scope of practice outlined in their specific job descriptionResponsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvementIs responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.edamaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.Insure that unit/department/division is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.Job
Qualifications:
BSN DegreeMaster s Degree preferredOne to three years managerial experience preferred but not requiredOne to two years experience within specialty is requiredSpecialty may be required, according to the needs of the individual unitsDemonstrated professional development over time (i.enational certification, continuing education, etc.).Current New Jersey RN Licensure requiredNational Certification preferredBLS requiredACLS required within six (6) months of hirePALS required within one (1) year of hire.We offer a great work environment, competitive rates and excellent benefits, including:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
