Due to expansion, we have opening for Technicians throughout New Jersey. We are looking for a Class A (preferably) or B Diesel Mechanics to perform field work responding to a wide variety of service calls within your territory for both commercial and Residential accounts represent the company to the customer. In this key role you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting a variety of field service calls which will require the ability to read one-line diagrams, isolate failed components, and troubleshoot up to 400-amp Automatic Transfer Switches.

  • You will be operating and connecting a minimum of 100 KW bank equipment and performing engine repairs, including timing, valve adjustments, gasket/seal replacements, coolant system repairs and fuel exh

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical equipment, of which at least 1 year of must be on diesel driven generators and related switchgear

  • Must own hand tools, to include Fluke multimeter, amperage meter, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, and complete socket set, at a minimum

  • DOT, OSHA general industry, and NFPA 70A certification (new hires will be trained)

  • Certification to work on Kohler generators is STRONGLY preferred. Candidates with certification with other manufacturers will also be considered

  • Strong communication skills, to include the ability to resolve conflicts with irate customers, work with the sales team to build confidence in clients, and assist in training of junior technicians, are needed

  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DMV record check are required for this position

  • Basic knowledge of diesel, natural gas, and propane fuel systems

  • Graduates of Technical Schools with Generator, Diesel Programs or related are encouraged to apply.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
